Why Bad Golf Happens To Good People/It's Your Brain Not Your Game! Reviews
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: ![]() This review is from: Why Bad Golf Happens To Good People!: It's Your Brain Not Your Game! (Paperback) What a true find! I found this book to be written in a clear, concise format that provides the reader with solid tools for developing effective mental strategies for both on and off the golf course. Dr. Kessler's step by step method of how to develop the capacity to become aware of the mental challenges along the fairway as well as the approach to develop the mental skills in overcoming those challenges, take us well beyond the 18th hole. The book beautifully illustrates the key importance of the mind-body connection so that we can learn to develop our mental effectiveness for performing in any venue. The book is well worth your time. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: ![]() This review is from: Why Bad Golf Happens To Good People!: It's Your Brain Not Your Game! (Paperback) This book was recommended to me by a non-golfer who knows the author, I have used the lessons in this book to become a better golfer, indeed better at a lot of tasks. The lesson of focusing on the process, rather than focusing on the possible outcome, is the best lesson to learn. I have explained this to my children, and I have seen them become more calm under pressure. This book is well written, well thought out, and a valuable guide to becoming a better athlete. The lessons go beyond the links. Buy this book, share it with your playing partners, unless you play them for cash. |
